FAQ
The most suitable covers for your vehicle will differ according to the use they intend to make on ice and snow. ISSE distinguishes between sporadic and intensive use. Sporadic is intended for drivers who occasionally use the covers due to ice and snow, a few times a year. Intensive or habitual is for those drivers who drive through snow and ice many times during the year so they will need a more resistant product.
1) Place the cover covering the top of the tire. Install the ISSE textile covers with the vehicle parked on flat ground (no slopes prohibited) and the handbrake applied. If your vehicle is equipped with an anti-skid system, do not disconnect it.
2) Insert your arms into the cover and stretch the fabric to cover the sides of the tire.
3) Finish adjusting the tire sidewalls.
4) Move your vehicle forward so that the wheel makes a 1/2 turn and thus leaves the part of the tire not yet covered by the cover at the top.
5) Cover the upper area of āāthe tire with the cover.
6) Move slowly, after 100 meters the cover will adjust itself to your tire.
If your vehicle is equipped with an anti-skid system, do not disconnect it.
With the textile covers installed in your vehicle, you must start and drive cautiously, avoiding acceleration, braking, sudden changes of direction both for your safety and to preserve the life of the product.
If your textile covers show slight local perforations after the first use, they are still fully usable.
On the contrary, if the perforations exceed 50% of the tread width, the covers cannot be used. The covers cannot be repaired.
Do not exceed 40km/hour on snow or ice, it is advisable to reduce that speed. If you have to mount the textile covers on tires with more than 50% wear, we recommend limiting the speed to 30km/hour.
If you hear abnormal noises, stop and check if the chains are positioned properly.
It is not recommended to use the covers on dry floors. Prolonged use without snow would cause damage to the product and could modify the vehicle's reactions.
Textile covers should only be installed on the tire measurements authorized by the correct size. Please consult which size is most suitable for your vehicle.
The covers should be placed exclusively on snowy or icy terrain. They must be removed when the condition of the road does not justify their use or while the vehicle is parked.
It is not necessary to retension the covers after short use.
When starting, make sure that no one is behind the vehicle's wheels as they could be damaged by flying stones, glass or other elements.
Textile covers do not replace winter tires. While the covers are mounted on the drive wheels, differences in grip between the front and rear axle may occur, increasing the risk of skidding.
You must pay attention when driving a vehicle equipped with anti-slip devices.
In 4X4 vehicles it is preferable to mount 2 sets (4 units) of ISSE covers.
